Purpose:

This Course requires learning how to carry out secondary breaking using explosives in surface excavations.

Whilst learning towards the outcome you will be required to achieve the following specific outcomes:

• Demonstrate an understanding of secondary blasting.
• Prepare for secondary blasting.
• Conduct secondary blasting operations.
• Carry out post-blast procedures

You will be assessed, when you are confident that you may achieve the Modules as listed, to determine your competence as measured against Modules. This assessment will be in line with accepted best practices regarding assessment.
