Purpose:

This Course requires learners to understand the application of health and safety principles regarding hazardous substances.

The qualifying learner is capable of the following:

• Will bear knowledge of and understand all risks that were identified in the risk assessment where work with hazardous substances is done. This includes all procedures and methods used to address all the risks identified per location;
• Will be certified physically and psychologically fit to do so;
• Will have the correct personal protective equipment to ensure their health and safety;
• Will be trained to work with hazardous substances and records kept of such training.
