Purpose:

This Course requires learning to demonstrate knowledge and ability to work in a surface mine.

Whilst learning towards the outcome you will be required to achieve the following specific outcomes:

• Explain the requirements of the relevant aspects of the Health and Safety Act
• Demonstrate understanding of emergency procedures;
• Demonstrate an awareness of strata control; and
• Demonstrate an awareness of applicable ISO standards.
