Purpose:

This Course requires learners to ‘Monitor, report and make recommendations on the requirements applicable to permit to work systems in a working environment’.

This course will enable the learner to describe the requirements applicable to a permit to work in terms of hot work; cold work; confined space entry and lockout systems in a work area.

The qualifying learner is capable of:

• Describe the requirements for the application of a hot or cold work permit.
• Describe the requirements to apply a lock-out system.
• Describe the requirements applicable to a confined space entry permit.
