Verify compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental requirements in the Workplace

Purpose:

The purpose of this module is to enable learners to apply basic health and safety legislation in the form of standards and procedures governing health and safety in the workplace, to ensure that they contribute to a safe, healthy environment for themselves and others.

The qualifying learner is capable of:

• Explaining the safety, health and environmental requirements applicable in a specific workplace.
• Monitoring workplace compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements against specified requirements.
• Evaluating performance of workplace safety activities required by safety, health and environmental management programmes.
• Remedying workplace non-compliance to and non-performance of safety, health and environmental requirements and programmes.
